The fourth stage of the 2010 Yaroslavl Winter Russian Troika Championship was held on March 6, 2010. Horses from Moscow Stud Farm No. 1 made a good showing and took prizes in the 1,300-meter distance.

On November 15, 2009, Moscow’s Central Hippodrome held its traditional prize race for 4-year-old Orlov trotters. Eight top Orlov trotters from Khrenovsky, Chesmensky, Zaporozhsky and other studs met on the race track.

On October 2, 2009 Moscow Stud Farm No. 1 held its traditional fall trotter auction in its riding hall. The day’s buyers included many celebrities of the equestrian world. Twenty-six of the 52 listed lots were sold for a total of RUB 2.5 million, making this one of the Moscow Stud Farm’s most successful auctions in recent years.

After a five-year hiatus, the city of Tver hosted the Tver Autumn 2009 Russian Troika Championship on September 20, 2009 at its verst-long hippodrome track. Amateur jockeys from Tver and Tver Oblast participated in equestrian competitions for non-professionals.
