Moscow Stud Farm No. 1 - Pride of Russia

On August 19-23, 2009 Moscow Stud Farm No. 1 participated in the International Equestrian Exhibition EQUIROS. The Stud Farms horses traditionally show well at competitions, and EQIROS 2009 was no exception:

  • Khrupka (Prikup Khlorofila, 2006) won first prize in the Trakehner mare ring-show;
  • Kanuk (Kovboy Kameia, 2001) won second prize in the Trakehner stallion ring-show.

The Pride of Russia horse parade showcased the best horseflesh from Moscow Stud Farm No.1: the Trakehner stallion Khrap (Prikup Horugv, 2006), 2008 all-around Russia champion, and the Stud Farms top Russian troika with Kanuk as lead horse. For its contribution to the parade, Moscow Stud Farm No. 1 was awarded a diploma of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, signed by Minister Elena Skrynnik.

Moscow Stud Farm No.1 has long been celebrated for its troikas. The troika with Russian trotter Aleksandrit (Ragbys Star - Assambleya, 1992) as lead horse and Orlov trotters Priz and Vitok as out-runners is the most famous of the Stud Farms troikas, appearing every day before the VESTI news programme on channel Rossiya.

Yuri Prokhorov, Director:

Since we resumed holding auctions, weve sold our horses to Finland, the U.S., Canada, Lithuania, Latvia, and Ukraine. According to leading experts, the best Orlov trotters, champions and top producers traditionally have ancestors foaled at Moscow Stud Farm No.1 Well do our best to keep up this wonderful tradition.
