Moscow Stud Farm No 1 to Host Second Winged Heart of Russia Championship for Russian Troikas

On 13 August 2022, Moscow Stud Farm No 1 will host the second Winged Heart of Russia traditional carriage driving tournament for Russian troikas at Gorki-10.

Last year, the event attracted a capacity crowd of over 500 guests, with industry professionals and carriage driving enthusiasts calling it one of the most memorable events in the world of equestrian arts.

This year’s tournament will be themed Riding across Russia. Each participant will be asked to talk about their city, way and adventures. A strict jury will evaluate city driving skills, which include overcoming the obstacles that drivers encountered every day in the past (winding roads, narrow streets, and dead ends). The participants will also compete in troika presentation, including the matching style of the horses and the carriage, the harness, the driver’s outfit, and even the artistic skills of the competitors.

The tournament will be accompanied by a local farmers market, a dressage test for Orlov Trotters, a fashion show, and pony riding for children. The Presidential Regiment’s Cavalry Escort will perform mounted drills.

The organisers are the Rosplemkonzavod Association, PJSC Acron, Moscow Stud Farm No 1, and the Society of Carriage Driving Enthusiasts.

Dress code: summer manor

Ladies shall wear hats.

The reception will start at 12 pm.

Details of the event are available at heart.mkz1.ru.
