Orlov Trotter Kolenkor Born at Moscow Stud Farm No 1 Wins Pion Prize at Novosibirsk Hippodrome
On 23 July 2022, Orlov Trotter Kolenkor (Kuplet – Konka) driven by Alexander Sadov and owned by Alexander Chmyryov, once again won the Pion Prize competition held at the Novosibirsk Hippodrome with a score of 2:04.2.
In 2021, Kolenkor was used as a sire at Moscow Stud Farm No 1 and resumed his racing career fit as a fiddle after the breeding season. In 2020, he was included in the list of Russia’s fastest trotters among senior stallions at the distance of 1,600 metres with a score of 1:59.7.
So far, Kolenkor is the seventh Orlov Trotter in history who managed to cover a distance of 1,600 for less than two minutes.
On 8 July 2022, Buntovshchik (Peon – Beluzhnitsa), ridden by master jockey Aleksander Mashints, won the Pion Prize in both rounds in Kazan. In the first round, he demonstrated the best speed of 2:02.5. Buntovshchik was born at Moscow Stud Farm No 1 and is owned by K. Karimov.
In the Bars Prize competition, Fakultet (Kuplet – Fontanka, born at Moscow Stud Farm No 1, owned by R. Ayzatulov) came second in the second round with the same time, 2:02.5. Fakultet’s rider was third-grade jockey Dilya Galimzyanova.
